User data deletion
You decide what koLink Chat keeps. Here is how to remove the data stored for an Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp or Threads connection, and how to follow a request you started from Meta.
1. Disconnect the channel
In the app, open Channels and choose Disconnect. This clears the stored access tokens for that channel straight away, so koLink Chat can no longer read or send on it.
2. Remove koLink Chat from Meta
In your Facebook or Instagram settings, open Apps and websites and remove koLink Chat. Meta then sends us a deletion request. We remove the linked channel tokens and connection records for that identity and give Meta a confirmation code and a link back to this page, where you can follow the request.
3. Delete the workspace or your account
Workspace owners can delete the workspace in Settings: conversations, contacts, messages and media are hidden immediately and purged after a short retention window. Any user can delete their own account in Settings. Details of what we keep and for how long are in the Privacy Policy.
If you only wrote to a business
If a business uses koLink Chat and you want your conversation deleted, ask that business: it controls the conversation and can delete it. We will help it do so.
